Yamaha Audioversity 2025 made a significant impact in both Davao (January 21-22 at Home Crest Hotel) and Cebu (February 4-5 at One Central Hotel, Cebu City), gathering sound professionals and enthusiasts for an immersive learning experience. The events drew a total of 270 participants in Davao and an average of 108 attendees per day in Cebu, reflecting the growing demand for professional audio education in the Philippines.
Both events featured industry experts Andy Anderson, Rico Bicol, and Tony Sawyer, who shared their vast experience in live sound, system engineering, and audio production. Rico Bicol led sessions on basic audio techniques, covering microphone placement, equalization, and sound mixing. Tony Sawyer focused on system engineering, providing insights into array system design, calibration, and troubleshooting. Andy Anderson shared practical tips for FOH engineers, discussing best practices for live sound management, performer coordination, and venue acoustics.

A key highlight was Yamaha Music Philippines ProAudio Leader Maxim Zaitsev’s presentation on Yamaha’s digital consoles (TF Series, DM7 Series, DM3) and Dante audio networking technology, showcasing how these innovations enhance workflow efficiency.

Both Davao and Cebu also featured an exciting speaker shootout, comparing Yamaha’s DBR Series and DZR Series against competing brands. The DBR Series stood out for its portability, while the DZR Series impressed with its high-fidelity sound and powerful DSP processing.
